Group show ‘twoeightone’ Great Northern Warehouse, Manchester
The forms for this installation were derived from flower heads of poisonous plants. The forms were created by squeezing wet terrocotta clay in the hands to resemble the flower heads of the digitalis and other toxic plants. Paradoxically these plants may also be exploited for thier medicinal properties. I was exploring this paradox as a metaphor for the delicate balance of life.
